Research Notes: Microfilm record of his baptism seems to show one of his given names was "ALLA". However after consultation with society members it was felt that the name should read "ALBA". Poor handwriting of his baptism record would lead many readers to think his baptised name was Joseph Alla Chèné where it should read Joseph Alba Chèné.
Also there is no record of Périas shown as another of his given names at time of baptism. When he married the record wrote his name as Joseph Périas Chénier. Where this came from is still a mystery.4
