May 1963 at the age of 72 At St.Michael Hospital at Toronto, ON, Canada, and was buried in May 1963 at the Holy Cross Cemetery at Thornhill, ON, Canada.

Biographical Notes: William Arthur Smith was born on11 May 1891 in South Himsworth, Nipissing, Ontario. He was the third child of William Smith and Marie Alexina Cécilia Moreau dit Duplessis. At the age of 22 he was living in Callander, Ontario , and was working as a Mill Hand when he married Laurentia Deschenes, an 18 year old house maid, at the Roman Catholic church of the village of Callander on May 7 1917. She was the eldest child of Edouard Mainville Deschenes and Aurore Michon. Laurentia was born on 6 March 1900 in Hull, Quebec. William died in 1953 and was interred at Holy Cross Cemetery, Thornhill, Ontario. Laurentia died on 1 July 1958 and was interred at Holy Cross Cemetery, Thornhill.

Other notes: William Arthur went by the name of Arthur. I suppose because he had a younger brother William and his father’s name was also William. Laurentia was commonly known as Florence.
Witnesses at their wedding were William Smith (brother of the groom?) and Edward Deschenes (most likely father of the bride) both of Callander Ontario.
